Hi Nilesh
I'm sorry for the late reply, but I just got round to dropping you a line.
Your idea of an online entrance test in order to save precious managerial time is a great idea. It also allows students to familiarize themselves with an online test before they actually take the final online test. However, you should always put aside a paper test in case some students show up with no knowledge of computer whatsoever. What can I say? Good luck with your endeavors:-)

Sure Bassel thank you for your advice. I can understand it is not easy for us as Educators to make students listen to us and make them do the right thing’ as they have their own valuation system of what's right and wrong. As for the Website I would make it user friendly and would be more than happy to share it with your students.

Excellent choice of topic Nilesh.. As a person who had to go throught SAT, I relate to what you say. I know you are a math teacher but I remember times when I was so frustrated with analogies that I craved for someone to explain them to me, rather than find the answer key and get it over with. I think an interactive website is a great idea, but isn't it time consuming and tricky, especially that we still beginners?
Also, the market is full of both commercial and educational books and tech gadgets to help students get by the SAT, what is the secret component that you have? :D will you share it yet?

Nilesh, this sounds like a good idea but will require a lot of time and effort from you. However, you need to make sure that what you will provide will be different than the stuff that already there on the SAT site. I'm not sure of how different your project is going to be. I know that American schools here give their students a Pre SAT exam in their freshman year. So, you need to provide something different and unique which I'm sure you will do :)

You are very right Nilesh and I hope you can achieve something really straight to the point as with our students nowadays do not take into consideration any advice.

So make sure that it is user friendly and at the same time of a great value to enhance their understanding. Keep it up and share that with me for my students at my school.

we all have enjoyed working on our webquests. at the beginning the work seemed daunghting and massive, but as we worked on it we got hooked up and enjoyed what we are doing. Asking teachers to create webquests helps the reflect on what they know and pinpoint what they need to know to be able to create a presentalbe one. by this way, teachers are engaged in professional development and professional growth. i believe we are all proud of our end product as it reflects dedication and hard work.

i enjoyed blogging this course. i have been exposed to this term for my master program, yet, the concept was not clear for me at that time. Now, i can admit that i understand what it means and it purpose. it is a very effective educational tool once used appropriately. i used it with my students to reflect on controversial issures in the reading classes. this was done through the university website.
the students loved it and enjoyed posting their ocmments. knowing that they are not graded, motivated the weak studens to voice their ideas and worried about the topics they read. for me, it was a positive learning experience.

Nilesh, your piece made me visit the google notebook and explore it. I truly like it and i find it extremely efficient as I no longer need to carry things around, not even a USB. I used in the design assignment so I could access it from home and the office.

I do think it is like google docs somehow. don't u think?

I did not try to share it yet, do u maintain the original version if your collaborator changes it?
